The Adventures of Mr. Fuzzy Ears: Searching for a Furry Friend is a childrens book written and illistrated by PHS board member and Bradley University artist in residence, Donna Carr Roberts. The book tells the real-life story of her dog, Scamp (Mr. Fuzzy Ears), and his search for a playmate. The book includes many furry friends as well as a trip to the Humane Society. It subtly teaches children that all animals can be our friends. Donna says of her book "The story in the book has humor and soft life lessons for children on caring for their pets and the value of all the Humane Societies.  I purposely don’t show full humans, so the child may see his or her family in the story."

All local profits from the book will go to the Peoria Humane Society.
