Help Animals in Need
It's almost time for our Bark in the Park fundraiser to benefit animals - save the date Saturday, October 1, 2022! This year marks our 26th annual Bark in the Park, and we are excited to be back in person and at a new location - Tower Park in Peoria Heights! The whole family is welcome as there is something for everyone at Bark in the Park. Event day festivities start at 10 am and continue until 1 pm, including food vendors, dog olympics, paw printing painting, raffle baskets, cash raffle drawing, our famous Mutt Show, paw print painting, and dog parade. Help raise money for animals in need by participating in the Marvelous Mutt Show, Paw Print Painting, Souvenir Photos, and Cake Walk for a $5 donation each.
This event is the Peoria Humane Society's largest fundraiser and is vital to continuing to support people and animals throughout the Peoria area. Proceeds from Bark in the Park will help fund life-saving care for local animals in need, promote adoption of homeless shelter animals, provide food for hungry pets in our community, reduce pet overpopulation and create awareness about kind treatment of animals through educational programs. The PHS is a non-profit organization that depends on donors and funds raised through events like Bark in the Park to help animals locally.
You can partner with us to raise money for the animals by attending Bark in the Park, donating a gift certificate and/or items to be used in our raffle baskets, sponsoring this event, or click here to make a donation online.
There is no registration fee for attending this year, but t-shirts will still be available to purchase for those who want one. Don't miss the opportunity to support the Peoria Humane Society and have the 26th annual Bark in the Park t-shirt! Deadline for pre-orders is September 18th. T-shirt pick-up will be at the Peoria Humane Society on Thursday, September 29th from 4 – 6 pm.
For safety sake, we ask that you use good judgement regarding the temperment of your dog so that this event will be enjoyable for everyone. Do not bring a dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Event officials reserve the right to refuse entry to aggressive animals. Dogs over 4 months old, must have current rabies vaccinations and wear rabies tags - ID tags are also recommended. All dogs must be on a 6 foot or shorter leash for the duration of this event.
Together we can make this year's Bark in the Park a big success!
