What's Bark in the Park?

Bark in the Park is the Peoria Humane Society's major fundraising event of the year. It's all about bringing people who
care about animals together in one huge effort to improve the lives of animals in our community! Although Bark in the Park is first and foremost a fundraiser...come and help us raise money and we will make sure you and your dog have a great time while you're there!
Our goal for Bark 2017 is to raise $50,000 - which will help fund programs to provide lifesaving care for animals in need, promote adoption of homeless shelter animals, and reduce pet overpopulation. The Peoria Humane Society is a non-profit organization. We depend on donors and funds raised through events like the Bark to help make the Peoria area a better community for both animals and the people who care for them. Watch our progress in reaching our $50,000 goal with the thermometer on the right.
We hope you'll come and help us reach our goal. The animals are counting on us!
Each year the event features the hilariously funny "Mutt Show" in which your dog can compete and show off a special
talent and win prizes, an outstanding raffle tent, cash raffle, Canine Carnival, professional photo with you and your dog, pawprint painting, kids activity center, and more! You can find more information on this year's Bark at the bottom of this webpage.
