As a Volunteer I will be expected to...
Commit my time
Generally, volunteers commit to a 2-3 hour shift on a regular weekly or bi-weekly basis as well as completion of an orientation session and 2 hours of training. Volunteer scheduling will vary according to the needs of the shelter/organization and each volunteer’s availability. The hours available to volunteer at PCAPS are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday. Although our scheduling is flexible, we unfortunately cannot always accommodate the scheduling needs of every prospective volunteer.
Have a commitment and understanding of our philosophy and policies at PHS.
Volunteers should have a serious concern for animal welfare and find satisfaction in working with companion animals and the public.
