Bark in the Park
(Sun. October 15th, 2017 from 11:00am to 3:00pm)

Bark in the Park is by far the largest fundraising event hosted by the Peoria Humane Society.  It is a family friendly event that has something for pets, pet lovers, kids, and adults.  It's held the second Sunday in October at the Peoria Riverfront Festival Park.  One of the highlights of the Bark is seeing hundreds of feet and paws join together as they take the "Walk for Animals" along the Peoria riverfront.  The goal of Bark in the Park is to raise money to help the animals of the Peoria area as well as provide a fun event for pets and their family's to share together.

Warm & Fuzzy Wednesdays
(Wed. June 14th, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am)

Every Wednesday from June 14th to July 26th!

Local businesses* can treat their employees to a fun, stress-relieving visit from some of our warmest & fuzziest residents from Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PAWS).  PHS and PCAPS staff and volunteers will bring a litter of adoptable kittens to your business for a one-hour visit with your staff.

There’s nothing more entertaining than watching kittens play!  And kitten-cuddling is a great way to de-stress a little during the busy work day.  Kitten visits are available on a first come-first serve basis, and can be scheduled on Wednesdays 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.  A $100 donation to the Peoria Humane Society is requested, to help care for all the kittens at the shelter and in foster homes awaiting adoption.

Contact Patti at (309) 682-9015 or pschaffner@peoriahs.org for further information or to schedule a Warm & Fuzzy visit!

*Locations should be within a 20 mile radius.
