Our event this year will be held at the Trailside Event Center (4416 N Prospect Rd) in Peoria Heights on March 1, 2018 from 5-8pm.
Food & Drink: Guests will be treated to a variety of wine & spirit samples. Appetizers will be served as well.
Entertainment: Live music will be provided. More information about the silent auction can be found below.
Wine Pull: Do you like games of chance? Then play our popular Wine Pull game at the event. For $20 you can make a selection from a group of mystery bottles. You never know what you’ll get…some bottles are worth $50+!
Donation Opportunities: What are the shelter’s greatest needs and how can you help fill them? You will find out at our event! We have created a fun, interactive visual to allow you to see exactly where your donations go and the impact you can make in the life of a shelter animal.
Parking: There is a small lot right outside the venue, but parking will be limited. You can find extra parking at the Heights Florist across the street and on nearby streets. Do not park in the police station parking lot near the venue, this is a tow lot.
Items: Many great items will appear in our silent auction. Past auctions have featured anywhere from a trip to the Smokey Mountains to gift cards from local restaurants and shops and everything in between. As the event approaches, we will include a list of silent auction items that will be present at the event.
Procedure: This year we will once again have a staggered silent auction, where select groups of items will close at different times throughout the night. Each group will be clearly labeled and their closing times will be announced. If you win an item, you will be expected to pay for the item and take it with you at the end of the evening. The Peoria Humane Society is not responsible for keeping track of the items once they have been paid for and collected. Cash, Check, or Credit/Debit card will be accepted.
History of Wine & Whiskers
Our first annual Wine & Whiskers event was a great success. It was held at the Contemporary Art Center on February 24, 2015. We raised a lot of money for the animals and had a great time doing it! We are excited to make this an annual event. The 2015 Wine and Whiskers featured cocktails, hors d'ouevres, live entertainment, beer and wine, a silent auction, and a wine raffle. The event raised almost $15,000 to help the animals in our area. Wine & Whiskers is a great opportunity to learn more about the important work the Peoria Humane Society does to improve the lives of animals and people in the Peoria area while enjoying the company of friends in a pleasant atmosphere.

All proceeds raised will be used to fund the PHS programs which help the shelter animals, provide low-cost spay/neuter services to the community, and educate our children about compassion and respect. Help us help the animals by attending this special event! It is sure to be an event you won't want to miss!
